Some More of What I wore

Its been a couple of weeks since I did one of these, don't worry its not because I've been going to work naked, I've just had a rather manic 2 weeks involving lots of traveling and meetings so Its was sadly a boring back catalogue of smart dresses and pony tails

.On more positive note however it means I have accumulated a couple of things worth sharing, and as a frequent victim of an accidental theme, this one seems to be along the lines of 'Think Pink'. Ohwell some newish stuff below I've worn to work recently...

WILD WEST WORK WEAR

The neon pink pulls this chiffon blouse back from the brink of cowgirl and and back into more office wear territory. Worn with an old favourite black silk layered skirt it looks relatively smart and the highlighter tone makes the easy classic pencil skirt blouse combo a little more exciting... throw some denim cut offs in the mix however and its a totally different story.

SOMETHING PRETTY

I picked this dress up in the sale at River island, it's very girly so needed toughening up with some less feminine jewellery, if it wasn't about 35 degrees here everyday I probably would have worn a leather jacket and ankle boots with it... Instead It was court shoes and deodorant. 

Brad asked if i was going to a wedding. Charming. 

BACK TO BASICS

A simple loose fit black tunic, with slight sheer panel at the front, (on the safe side of slutty for the office) Dove Grey Blazer, chunky studded belt. Out the door. At work on time... the simple things are so often the best.

Welcome to Our Neighbourhood...

There is a popular Expat magazine in Singapore called 'Expat Living' which I am sure many of you are familiar with, but for those of you who aren't its rather like a well produced hybrid of a Village paper and a monthly lifestyle glossy. With Singapore being so small they manage to keep it personal, including a monthly calendar of events and activities for Expats to indulge in, seamlessly alongside advertising for high end products and interviews with with varying individuals, (of varying walks of life) with interesting stories to tell.

There is one section of the magazine I particularly enjoy called 'Street Talk'... always the section I flick to first in the hairdresser. We like to be 'in the city' Its only about a 5 minute walk to work, brand new building, quiet at the weekends and easy to get to anywhere by Cab or MRT

The Gourmet Market in MBFC its a pretty westernised little grocery shop that is our go to for everything from cans of soup to meat to wine. the Anglo-Indian restaurant down stairs has received a substantial investment from us too.

You won’t find better local food than at:

The strangest thing you’ve ever seen on your street is:

A bit of fallen rubble that required 6 full police vans to investigate (I think they get bored with all the no crime) 

We love a good bargain. The best deals in your neighbourhood are:

again... Lau Pa Sat, Full meal for about 2 quid.
